Jewelry

  • All of our products are designed in our Pennsylvania studio and proudly produced in the United States, using the world's finest metals, gemstones and paper. The sterling silver used in our jewelry is composed of recycled, re-refined, and domestically mined silver and the paper used for our greeting cards is an ultra-thick archival paper.

  • The high-quality precious gemstones, semi-precious gemstones and pearls used are natural elements of the earth with unique markings, inclusions, irregularities and imperfections that create their intrinsic beauty. We hand select each component to ensure that your completed piece is of the same quality as the image shown on the website.  

    In order to be completely transparent and follow Federal Trade Commission guidelines, we disclose all treatments and changes that are made to gemstones and pearls. Following the Common Disclosure Code of the International Colored Gems Association, here are the codes we use: (B) Bleached, (C)Coated, (D) Dyed, (H) Heat-Treated, (HP) Heat & Pressure, (R) Irradiation. When possible, we disclose the origin of our gemstones. 

  • We do not offer repair, ring sizing or stringing services for non VIELÄ jewelry items. Please visit your local jeweler or goldsmith for these services. 

  • The plastic ear guard that is provided with each pair of earrings will prevent your earring from lifting out as a scarf or collar may accidentally bump it. But accidents happen. If you lose an earring, please contact us. Please note: as our designs change, we may no longer carry your earring, but if we have your earring in stock, we are happy to quote a replacement price. 

Orders

  • We pride ourselves in making and sizing each piece of jewelry to fit your order, therefore, please allow three business days for your order to be filled, before shipment. If you are ordering a non-jewelry item, it will ship within two business days, however all items will be shipped together, unless otherwise noted.  

  • Discount codes can be entered in the Discount field in your Cart, and they must be applied before the order is submitted. Discount codes are only valid online and do not apply to purchases at Retail Partners or at in-person shows. 

  • During checkout, you can choose separate billing and shipping addresses. Use the Notes field to write a personal message for the recipient. The receipt will be sent to the billing address. Shipping charges are determined based on the shipping address. 

  • We designed our standard package to feel like unwrapping a gift. However, if you want that extra special touch, we offer a gift wrap service.

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, PayPal, ApplePay and Venmo directly through our site. We do not retain or receive any of your personal financial information, as all of our orders are processed by a reputable and secure third-party credit card processing company. If you prefer to pay by check or debit, please contact us.

  • Most of our designs can be customized with the addition of a gemstone charm. If you have a particular piece or combination in mind, please reach out and we can design something just for you! 

  • Fully custom designs are available to museums, botanical gardens, arboretums, conservatories, charities, corporations, foundations and retailers. Custom jewelry, corporate gifts, and awards are a few of the options. The custom design service can incorporate natural elements sampled directly from, or special to, the grounds of a property, or can be newly conceptualized, infused with a natural element. We have worked with Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, Sheppard Pratt Health Care System, Winterthur Museum, the Calvert Marine Museum and Filoli, among other nationally known institutions to create completely custom products. 

  • The flowers, pine and shells we collect are part of a whole that deserves our respect, reverence and protection. To combat the impact of the jewelry industry on the environment, we strive to incorporate sustainable business practices into our production and packaging. You may notice that some of our shipping boxes you receive are not new. We seek out and collect used shipping boxes, bubble wrap and air packs to reduce the need for new shipping supplies. For some of our packaging, we source recycled paper, recycled cotton t-shirt paper products and recyclable bags. And, in our shop, we recycle 100% of all scrap metals, paper, and plastic. Going forward, we are looking to increase our use of recycled materials and completely phase out the use of new shipping materials.
