Our values
Cultural Preservation
We have been honored to have our products represented in museum stores nationwide. When you purchase an item in the museum store of an art or natural history museum, botanical garden, or other cultural institution, you are directly supporting the institution in its educational and community mission. We are a Founding Sponsor of Museum Store Sunday, an event showcasing the important contributions of museum stores to their respective institutions.
Outstanding Level Quality/Product Origin
Because our products have been sold in museum stores, we implement the highest quality standards. Our sterling silver castings (the main components of our jewelry) and pewter products are manufactured in New Mexico by family-owned businesses, supporting small domestic manufacturing. Further, the sterling silver in those castings is sourced from recycled, re-refined and domestically mined silver. We work transparently to disclose our gemstone gradings, their treatments and origins, when possible. Our greeting cards are printed domestically in Rhode Island. To further our commitment to transparency, we educate both buyers and consumers on regulatory disclosure requirements for jewelry sold in the United States.
Equal Opportunity
We actively support opportunities for women through employment, sourcing, and vendor relationships.
Inclusivity
Look for items designated One Sky to find products that are designed with options that include rather than exclude.
Stewardship
The flowers, pine and shells we collect are part of a whole that deserves our respect, reverence and protection. To combat the impact of the jewelry industry on the environment, we strive to incorporate sustainable business practices into our production and packaging. You may notice that some of our shipping boxes you receive are not new. We seek out and collect used shipping boxes, bubble wrap and air packs to reduce the need for new shipping supplies. For some of our packaging, we source recycled paper, recycled cotton t-shirt paper products and recyclable bags. And, in our shop, we recycle 100% of all scrap metals, paper, and plastic. Going forward, we are looking to increase our use of recycled materials and completely phase out the use of new shipping materials.
Charity
Our core values are our foundation. Yet, the most important value is in how we help each other. We donate a portion of profit to organizations that are most meaningful to our family and local community.
